A man has been charged with the murder of Giuseppina Fazzani, the 82 year old who has lost her life in the Deptford arson attack last week.
Tuan Anh Le, 22, a Vietnamese national of no fixed abode was arrested on June 1.
He has also been charged on two counts of arson with intent to endanger life and two counts of reckless arson.
Le appeared in front of Bromley Magistrates’ court on June 3 and was remained in custody.
Four others were also arrested in connection with the attack on June 1 but have been released on bail, pending further enquiries.
Police are looking for a vehicle in connection to this attack.
Investigators have issued CCTV footage of a red Peugeot 406, registration number KP51 GKC, they believe was at the crime scene at the time the fire was started.
“Our evidence suggests that whoever was in this car was most likely involved in the events which lead to the death of an innocent 82-year-old woman,” said Detective Chief Inspector Cliff Lyons.
Anyone with information regarding the vehicle is requested to call the Incident Room on 020 8721 4961 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
